Needed: A Profound Spiritual Revival

Today the spiritual light of the assemblies are flickering out, even as world events are moving quickly towards fulfilling the “Peace and Safety” sign of 1 Thessalonians 5:3.

We are no longer a bright shining light in a dark and evil world, instead we have become spiritually lax and lukewarm to the point tat even our Redeemer Jesus Christ cannot tolerate our laxity and is ready to spue us out of his body.  The word spue means to vomit or to forcefully eject.

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Laodicea is spiritually lukewarm, professing godliness while keeping the commandments according to their own imaginations instead of keeping them the way that God commands.

They pay lip service to godliness without any zeal to learn and keep the Word of God.  Their zeal is for their own ways and what they think, for their own past false traditions and their idols of men and not for what God says. They stand on their false past traditions and proudly think they know it all; refusing any spiritual growth they are stagnant or even falling backward in their spiritual condition.

They are hot for their own traditions, and for the teachings of their idols of men about the Word of God, and cold for zealously keeping the whole Word as God, as God has commanded them.  This mixture of hot for their idols of men and corporate entities, and a cold, lack of zeal to keep the Word of God, makes them lukewarm and revolting to Christ.

They are idolaters of men and tradition; proud, thinking that they know it all spiritually and therefore refuse correction from God or man; they reject the Word of God for their own ways and they reject any growth in truth and refuse to turn from error.

This is a clear, obvious, indisputable and precise explanation of the overwhelming majority in the Ekklesia today!

Because these folks have rejected Christ to follow him above our idols of men they will be rejected by Christ into the correction of great tribulation, in the hope that through the correction of the flesh the spirit may be saved.

3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth [we will be rejected by Christ into severe correction].

In world events Israel has called an early election for 9 April, however there are options to postpone the vote in cases of national emergency and a Middle East war could break out at any time.

In Israel several new political parties have been formed and even at this very early date a situation is developing which could well bring the downfall of the Netanyahu far right extremist anti peace block and replace it with a new peace making coalition.  At the same time the Palestinian Authority has announced new elections within six months and the Trump Peace Initiative which deals will all core issues is  complete and at the ready for presentation as soon as conditions are optimal.

President Trump has announced an American withdrawal from Syria and as part of that plan a package has been agreed with Turkey, the Kurd’s and certain Arab states; to deploy an Arab peacekeeping force as a buffer to separate the Syrian Kurdish militias from Turkey.   A joint Arab force probably including Turkey is also being planned to secure Gaza and Lebanon after the coming war as part of the Trump Peace Initiative.

Because of the rapidly developing situation I thought it prudent to post a series of about 13 articles in a general overview on what I have been teaching about world events and prophecy for the past twelve years in the “Coming World Events” category at TheShiningLight.   That is planned to be followed by by studies through Daniel and Revelation.

Of a truth the bridegroom is now preparing to come and today’s Spiritual Ekklesia is NOT ready.  My purpose from day one has been to ignite a true Ezra (Ezra 3) and Hezekiah ( 2 Chronicles 29 – 31)  type spiritual revival in today’s Spiritual Ekklesia

I am doing these thirteen prophecy overview articles and reviewing Daniel and Revelation, because it is very important that these things be presented in as clear and as understandable a manner as possible just BEFORE they happen.  These posts are very important so that once these things do happen, people will start to seriously study the doctrine and many will turn to a wholehearted zeal to live by every Word of God, BEFORE our Lord comes.

After the prophecy studies, the plan is to begin a big push for a profound spiritual revival in today’s Spiritual Ekklesia with studies through the Spring Festivals and the Epistles, along with doctrinal studies through the summer.

2019 is being dedicated to providing solid sound doctrine to help prepare the brethren for the appearance of God’s two servants and the onset of the tribulation; which is very likely at the end of 2019, or if things move slowly in late 2020.

Brethren, we are in desperate need of a revival and an awakening from our spiritual lethargy to seriously and fully apply ourselves in preparation for the coming of our Lord to resurrect and gather God’s faithful.

What is eternal life and an eternal kingdom worth to us?  Do we despise the birthright of our calling by not being willing to make a diligent effort to prepare ourselves?

The Ten Virgins

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

This parable is in the same context as Matthew 24 and is about one half of the brethren not being ready when Christ comes and can be extended to all those called out to God throughout history.

Most of the called out have failed to respond over the millennia [the Parable of the Sower], and half of those who did respond positively have always been too spiritually lazy to apply themselves diligently to learn and to keep the whole Word of God.  God has called many, but only a few will be worthy to be a part of the first resurrection of the chosen.

Oil is symbolic of God’s Spirit which is only given to those who obey God (Acts 5:32) and is given in direct proportion to our obedience and our commandment KEEPING.

When we reject many scriptures, and compromise with God’s law; we quench and drive out God’s Spirit, for the Spirit and very nature of God will not go against itself.

The virgins have all been slumbering, and the call has now gone out to WAKE UP and prepare to meet our Lord.

The wise were preparing and filling themselves with the oil of God’s Spirit through sincere repentance and the zealous seeking of God and the DOING of his will.

The foolish do not believe the wake up call, and are not preparing themselves, being spiritually asleep and not zealous for living by EVERY Word of God (Mat 4:4);  to fill themselves with the Holy Oil of God’s Spirit.  This goes right back to Daniel 12 which was after all inspired by Jesus Christ.

25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

It is now almost midnight for the humanity, the time is close at hand.

Many of the called out have gone to spiritual sleep over the millennia, and half of the called out may not be among the chosen.

ALL scripture is profitable for all of the called out.

The following was written 1,900 years ago for all those who might have the spiritual slumbering lack of zeal of Laodicea; which is climaxing today.  This attitude has always existed in the spiritually lazy and is now reaching its climax among today’s Spiritual Ekklesia.

Jesus Christ councils today’s spiritually slumbering Ekklesia, to:

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am [spiritually] rich, and increased with goods [spiritual knowledge], and have need of nothing [in their great pride they know it all and reject the scriptures]; and knowest not that thou art [spiritually] wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked [of godliness]:

3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold [the true riches of the righteousness and commandments of God] tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment [of the righteousness of the commandments of God], that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness [wickedness] do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve [God’s Spirit of spiritual insight], that thou mayest see.

3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

While the five foolish virgins were trying to find godliness and gain the oil of the Holy Spirit the bridegroom came and they were excluded from the marriage.

Matthew 25:10  and  while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Be watchful always, for we know not the day of our own death; and the coming of Christ for his saints will catch all those not watching for or expecting his coming by surprise as well.

Let us heed the admonition of Paul and be the children of the light of the Word of God; not rejecting scripture to remain in the darkness of spiritual ignorance.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 But ye, brethren [who are passionate to learn and to keep the whole Word of God], are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

The Talents

Matthew 25:14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

25:16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 25:17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

25:20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Brethren, we have been deceived and distracted into doing a business model work to bring in new folks our own way; instead of preaching a Gospel of Warning and Repentance, so that God could use that message to call men to himself.  We have destroyed the quality of our message to reap a harvest of tares into our organizations; who understand little and are willing to DO less. We are calling men TO US, instead of being a means for God to call men to HIMSELF!

This has resulted in a watered down, sin tolerating, leader exalting; system of idolatry and physical focus; which had quenched the oil of God’s Spirit in us, so that our light barely flickers.

We are to grow through the use of the measure of the Holy Spirit and the talents [gifts of the Spirit]  that God has given us.

We are to diligently consider the law of God day and night and to always be focused on God and his ways. We are to FOLLOW God’s Spirit as it leads us into further understanding, and we are to diligently seek more spiritual understanding through study and the active DOING of the Word of God.  We are NOT to get into a “I know it all spiritually and have need of nothing” attitude that is Laodicea, Rev 3. THAT IS BURYING OUR TALENT!.

25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

When Christ comes he shall judge between he who is a faithful and productive servant; and he who is complacent and self satisfied; who relies on his own understanding and has no zeal to obey his God.

Christ will require an accounting from every person as to what they did with the measure of God’s Spirit which was given to us.

Brethren, it is time to wake up, to revive and to put forth an effort to become fully united with God, through learning and living by every Word of God.  To be willing to do the work necessary to become worthy of the glory of our calling!

Yes, God does his part through forgiving the repentant and providing the enabling power of the Holy Spirit; but we must do our part!

Faith and the Works of Faith

2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? 2:5 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 2:16 and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body, what doth it profit?

2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 2:18 Yea, a man may say, You hast faith, and I have works. Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

The demons believe God yet they will not obey God’s Word, therefore their belief brings them nothing but the sure knowledge of their coming judgment.

2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified [justified by his deeds] by works when he [obeyed God] had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought [worked with] with his works and by works was faith made perfect? 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 2:25 Likewise also was not Rehab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.

Yes, there is a spirit in our body, it is a spirit of man, a spirit in man; and without the body it doesn’t function, it doesn’t think, it is not conscious.

Our spirit must be plugged into the body and the spirit of man and the body work together. Just so faith must be plugged into works, and works into the faith; so that trust and belief result in the works of faith.

Faith without works cannot stand: If we have faith, if we believe God, we will do what God says; which is our works of faith.

We cannot do what God says if we do not believe [have faith that his Word is true] Him; anymore than the spirit can live without the body.

If we have faith and no works, our faith is meaningless: it is a waste of time. Believing without acting on that belief is a waste of time; it won’t get us anywhere.
