1 Kings 16:31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat [the idolatry of the golden calves of Egypt], that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.
Jezebel murdered every servant of God that she could find in order to exalt her idol god baal. Baal worship with its fertility rites was also a licentious religion.
Because of these things Jezebel became a symbol of all spiritual idolatry and adultery.
Spiritually idolatry and adultery are both the same thing, which is disloyalty to the Husband of our baptismal espousal and exalting anyone or anything between us and God, it is following [obeying] any other, above obeying and living by every Word of God.
1 Kings 18:4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
The one who became Jesus Christ passed judgment on the physical woman Jezebel that she should be killed and that she would not have a burial place so that there would be no grave or monument to her wickedness.
2 Kings 9:36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: 9:37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
This Jezebel was so wicked and so zealous for her idol god, that she became a byword of all idolatry and spiritual adultery against God since her time.
Later the Babylonian Mystery religion became the manifestation of idolatrous religion, and in the end time prophecies is called the great whore (Rev 17:1), mother of harlots.
Elijah (Hebrew: אֱלִיָּהוּ, Eliyahu, meaning “My God is Yahu / YHVH“ or Elias (/ᵻˈlaɪ.əs/; Greek: Ηλίας Elías; was a prophet in the northern kingdom of Israel during the reign of Ahab (9th century BC).
God gave the Law to Moses who passed God’s Law on to the nation in the five books of Moses. Although sometimes called the law of Moses it is the Law of God and not the law of Moses, who added nothing to the Word of God. The five books of Moses testified of Messiah the Christ; first because they were the words of the Creator himself [the one who became Jesus Christ] providing the Law of God, the will of the Husband by which the bride of Christ the Law Giver, must live; and second because they foretold the coming of Messiah the Christ.
After Moses, the prophets testified of Christ and his coming, foretelling in detail his first and second coming.
Moses was the mediator of the Mosaic Covenant, representing the Law of God, and stood unshakably by the Eternal; Elijah was representative of the prophets and stood unshakably with the Eternal.
We see this revealed by God:
Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
This Elijah in his ministry did not write any scriptural prophecies like many other prophets but focused on revealing that the Eternal alone was God, and on destroying all idolatry out of the people. His work and his message was written for us so that we can learn the same message today: The Eternal is God and beside Him there is no other.
Just before the coming of Christ in the flesh, a man zealous for God like Elijah was, John Baptist, was sent ahead to prepare the way by calling on all people to sincerely repent; and just before Christ comes in his glory to rule all nations, a third man like Elijah will prepare the way by also calling all people to cast aside their idols and repent to live by every Word of God.
The job of all three Elijah’s was to bring to remembrance the whole Word of God and call the people to sincere repentance. The first Elijah did that very thing, and John Baptist the second Elijah called the people to sincerely repent preparing people to accept Messiah when he came in the flesh; A third Elijah will prepare the way for the coming of Christ in his glory to rule all nations by calling all humanity to sincerely repent and live by every Word of God
REMEMBER these words and RUN quickly to the Eternal God in sincerity and truth.
Deuteronomy 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
4:31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
4:32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
4:33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?
4:34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
4:35 Unto thee it was shewed [and recorded for us today], that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
4:36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.
4:37 And because he loved thy fathers [God has kept his promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob], therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;
Spiritually the Lamb of God has overcome the Adversary by the mighty deeds of a perfect life and a perfect sacrifice to redeem his people.
4:38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art [Satan is mightier than we and God has called us out and delivered us from his bondage and given us his kingdoms of the whole earth, if we faint not] , to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
4:40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
The called out of Egypt, the physical Israel church of God in Elijah’s time, had largely gone astray, just as the called out Ekklesia of today’s church of God has largely gone astray.
Elijah was sent by God to restore true religion in Israel, and a John Baptist in the same spirit of Elijah was sent to teach sincere repentance and a return to true religion to prepare the way for the physical coming of Messiah the Christ; and in our day another man like Elijah will arise to call all people to sincere repentance to live by every Word of God, preparing the way for the coming of Messiah the Christ to rule all nations at his coming in glory.
Elijah was an ordinary man who was passionate to destroy all idolatry and was zealous to live by every Word of God and to teach others to do so; therefore God did mighty miracles for him to help him to destroy idolatry and to turn many people to God. Nevertheless the time was not yet come and the people quickly fell away again.
When Elijah was to be taken away it was granted that his successor Elisha would be granted a double portion of God’s Spirit. This shows that some people did have God’s Spirit before Messiah the Christ had come; it is also an allegorical prophecy that another Elijah would prepare the way for the coming of Christ and that Christ would have much more of God’s Spirit then the “Elijah”: who prepared the way for him.
Jesus [Hebrew: Yeshua] said that John Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah and was a second Elijah who had prepared the way for the coming of Christ in the flesh..
Matthew 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 17:13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
John Baptist openly acknowledged that he was not the Christ and that Christ was much greater then he was. Did John Baptist do miracles? No. Yet, John Baptist fulfilled an Elijah ministry by calling the people to sincere repentance, preparing those who did repent to recognize and follow Christ when he came among them.
The mission of John Baptist was the same as the mission of Elijah.
Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 1:69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation [Jesus Christ] for us in the house of his servant David; 1:70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 1:71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 1:72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 1:73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
To serve means to obey, and through Jesus Christ we are to serve and obey God the heavenly Father
1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Now speaking of John and the latter day Elijah as well: Elijah will go before and prepare the way for the coming of Christ, by teaching sincere repentance and obedience to God the Father and to Christ.
1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
The latter day Elijah and Moses will teach the way to salvation: teaching sincere repentance from breaking and compromising with the commandments of God, so that the sacrifice of Christ can be applied to the sincerely repentant who commit themselves to never again reject scripture or sin against the teachings and commandments of God.
1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring [of the Fountain of Living Water (the Holy Spirit) might come through Christ] from on high hath visited us,
To proclaim the light of truth to those in spiritual darkness, and to lead men into the peace that comes from obedience to God.
1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
John did not begin to preach until he was 30 years of age and kept himself hidden until he was fully prepared to carry out his mission.
1:80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
John Baptist proclaimed the message of Warning and Repentance; which is the true Gospel that all God’s people are to proclaim!
Matthew 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
John prepared the way for Christ by calling all people BACK to godliness through SINCERE REPENTANCE.
3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
John was not interested in the pleasures of the physical life; and was dedicated wholly to the spiritual. His garment was of the gathered shed hair of the camel [camels coats thicken in winter and shed in spring like many other animals], like a hairy sackcloth of humility and mourning against his skin.
3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
He began his ministry on the Jordan where there was much water to baptize in; this coming from the commandment for the unclean to wash themselves [in modern Rabbinic Judaism the Mikva bath] and expanded into baptism by John through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit [Which was confirmed by Christ who also baptized.].
The law that the unclean must wash [bathe] was the basis for the washing [washing away of the uncleanness of sin] of baptism.
The way to salvation is to SINCERELY REPENT from breaking God’s teachings and commandments, and then to be baptized [washed] in water as a commitment to: “Go and sin NO MORE!”
Anyone who willfully sins, sins against his baptismal commitment!
Any elder, leader or organization who does not sternly rebuke all sin, and teaches tolerance for sin; is not of God, Today the brotherhood is full of wrongly baptized people who had no understanding that they were committing themselves to: “Go and sin no more.”
Quite the contrary; false elders have wrongfully baptized many without any proofs [fruits] of true repentance from sin; and actually lead people into sin by teaching a tolerance for sin while rebuking any zeal for keeping the Word of God.
Many DID repent and confessed their sins before God and were baptized by John.
3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
When John saw many unrepentant wicked persons wanting to be baptized for a show of righteousness before the people; John refused to baptize the unrepentant until they had turned from their evil deeds in true sincere repentance.
To take the Passover worthily; we must examine ourselves and sincerely repent of all our unlawful deeds and fully commit to; “Go and sin no more.”
We MUST NOT justify ourselves by claiming to be the physical [OR THE SPIRITUAL] children of Abraham! We MUST NOT think ourselves righteous because: “We are a part of some corporate church organization,” claiming to be the children of faith, the spiritual children of Abraham.
We Must NOT delude ourselves that we are right with God because we follow some man! We MUST BE righteous in our DEEDS, by repenting of all our commandment breaking and we MUST dedicating ourselves to diligently live by every Word of God.
Jeremiah 7:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 7:2 Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house [preach repentance], and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of [spiritual] Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. 7:3 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways [REPENT] and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
Do not deceive yourselves with words; thinking that you are righteous because of a name, organization or building. IT IS BY OUR ACTIONS THAT WE ARE BEING JUDGED; NOT by the false claims we make!
7:4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these.
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
We have a full article on this subject: Bring Forth Therefore Fruits Meet for Repentance Please consider this linked article an integral part of this post and please do visit it.
Those who do not turn away from sin and who do not bear godly fruit shall be destroyed. The unrepentant shall be destroyed and thrown into the fire.
Therefore repent and bring forth the good fruit of sincere repentance and godly obedience to our Father in heaven.
Do you not know that one of the Ten Commandments is to honour our father and our mother? and that if we break even one command or teaching of God our Father in heaven: We also break the Ten Commandments? The axe is about to be applied to the dead branches of today’s professing Christianity and their rejection into great tribulation may be as soon as late 2017.
Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
John taught of Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit, which comes through sincere repentance and baptism in water; and the application of the atoning sacrifice of Christ to reconcile us to God the FATHER; and only then is the GIFT of the Holy Spirit given and it is only given to those who obey God (Acts 5:32).
3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
John then speaks of the winnowing of wheat, where the grain is thrown into the air and fanned to blow away the chaff; separating out the chaff from the wheat. Christ shall thoroughly purge his harvest of grain separating out all chaff, winnowing away the unrepentant the lukewarm and the sinful.
The unrepentant who have no respect for the commandments and teachings of Christ; who try to justify their sins by saying, “Christ will understand if we compromise with God’s Word”: Shall be destroyed in the fire of final judgment if they do not sincerely repent.
3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
John recognized Christ immediately.
3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
Jesus who had no sin, then said that he needed to set an example of the right way for all the people.
3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered [permitted him to be baptized] him.
In these last days just before the coming of Christ in his glory to rule all nations God will send two witnesses, one like Moses will be powerful to deliver God’s Word to the people and to lead them out of the spiritual Egypt of bondage to sin, through the Word of God as Moses did. The other will be a kind of Elijah who will be powerful to destroy all idolatry and to reveal that the Eternal alone is God Almighty.
As Moses, Elijah and John were literal men, these two will be literal men; and they will begin their work in the called out spiritual Temple of the Ekklesia, destroying our idols of men and turning the brethren to God, ND from there that work will grow to fill the whole earth, preparing the Bride and preparing humanity for the coming of Messiah the Christ!
Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth [humility before God].
The Two Witnesses of God
Zechariah 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
4:2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
This is the lamp stand often called the Menorah. This lamp stand of seven branches, pictures the seven churches all producing light by the oil of God’s spirit and all connected to the same foundation.
It was intended that each church would be filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit and through faithful obedience to the whole Word of God, would be a Shining Light and example for the whole world (Mat 5, Mark 4 and Luk 11)
Right now the light of all seven churches of Rev 2 and 3 are flickering and dying out, [Yes all seven exist together at the coming of Christ! For each WAs warned to be vigilant lest they be caught by surprise!]; and the purpose of this effort is to wake people up and excite a zeal for God and his commandments to increase the oil of the spirit and thereby the light of the faithful.
The final two prophets will do the very same job at much increased power, and will succeed in pouring the oil of God’s Spirit out of themselves into the seven churches as two fruitful olive trees; turning the called out away from their false traditions, idolizing of men and sin; back to their LORD; that they may grow in God’s spirit that the light of godly example will shine brightly.
Soon God is sending his two servants to save the seven churches, before they run out of the oil of the Holy Spirit and self destruct.
4:4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
4:5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Zechariah asks what these two olive trees who empty the golden oil [Holy Spirit] out of themselves into the seven branches of the lamp stand are; but the angel before answering, goes into some related information.
4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Speaking to the governor Zerubbabel, the angel informs him that the Temple is being built by the power of God and not by his own strength. This is a lesson for us and for God’s two servants that we are only tools in God’s most capable hands.
4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain [the end time New Europe revival of Babylon the Great]? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof [This is a difficult translation; properly the chief Cornerstone will come and destroy teh mountain of Babylon flattening it. See Daniel 2.] with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
The great mountain is the government of the Babylonian system of the New Europe, and before Zerubbabel, Jesus Christ shall crash the mountain of the government of Babylon teh great down to the level ground and destroy it, and the cornerstone of Jesus Christ shall do this with the rejoicings and shouting’s of the repentant people.
Daniel 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. 2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
2:39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. 2:40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
2:41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone [the Messiah, Jesus (Yeshua) the Christ] was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
The mountain [government and religious system] of Babylon shall be utterly destroyed!
Jeremiah 51:25 Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain [government of Babylon, the New Europe)], saith the LORD, which destroyest [Babylon which destroys will be destroyed] all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain. 51:26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
Jesus Christ shall be the chief cornerstone of the millennial Kingdom of God! and Jesus Christ shall build his Father’s physical Temple and spiritual Temple the true Ekklesia! and Christ is the cornerstone of that spiritual Temple!
Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Zechariah 4:8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 4:9 The hands of Zerubbabel [The building of the physical temple succeeded, as a type of Christ building the spiritual temple which shall also succeed!] have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
What is the foundation of the spiritual Temple of God?
The foundation of the spiritual Temple of God the Father is: The Whole Word of God, as inspired by Jesus Christ and as written by the inspired authors!
Ephesians 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel [a type of Christ the Master Builder] with those seven; they are the eyes [The seven spirits (servants and helpers) of YHVH, Jesus Christ.] of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Zerubbabel was a type of Jesus Christ and JUST as he began to build, and completed building a physical Temple; Jesus Christ laid the foundations of his spiritual Temple, which is the whole Word of God, and Jesus Christ: WILL COMPLETE THE JOB!
Jesus Christ is the Father’s Master Builder and he will complete what he began six thousand years ago!
The last days WILL begin on God’s schedule, whether we are ready or not; the resurrection will take place on God’s schedule whether are ready or not, and there shall by much weeping and gnashing of teeth by those who have not made themselves ready.
The Kingdom SHALL COME, on God’s schedule, regardless of whether we think we are ready, or whether we think we have finished our work or not!
This plan is on God’s schedule and NOT our schedule! And the Master Builder will finish the Father’s spiritual Temple ON TIME!
NO! Zerubbabel is not a type of some mere mortal man with a swelled head! He was a type of the true Cornerstone who laid the foundation of the Kingdom of God forever! and which will destroy Babylon the Great of Dan 2!
We are to STAND ON that FOUNDATION and not on the shifting sands of organizational traditions and the teachings of men contrary to scripture!
4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick [lampstand, menorah] and upon the left side thereof?
And Zechariah asked a third time.
4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? 4:13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Zechariah asked a total of three times: What are these two olive trees?
4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.
The two olive trees are the two anointed ones who stand by Jesus Christ whatever the cost, whatever anyone else says; and do whatever God tells them to do!
They are two prophets who will come in the spirit of Moses and Elijah, in their dedication and zeal for the Eternal and all of his commandments. Read Matthew 17 where God shows us who stands beside our Lord in a vision.
There are yet coming two prophets to complete the preaching of the gospel by men and they will also empty the oil of God’s spirit out of themselves and into the seven churches which are all about to die; so as to revive them and fill them with the oil of God! Revelation 11.
Remember ye the law of Moses My servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD.
This is an example in type that Elijah will turn the hearts of the Ekklesia to God the Father, and God the Father’s heart will be turned to all those who call upon and live by his every Word.
4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers [properly God the Father] to the children [properly people] , and the heart of the children [properly people] to their fathers [properly God the Father: See Strong’s Hebrew ]; lest I come and smite the land with utter destruction.
This refers to turning the people to God the Father, nevertheless the foundation of turning parents and children to each other is for parents and children to both have the same foundation, which is UNITY WITH GOD! God’s law is a law of love and through its obedience the fruits of love, true unity and peace are obtained. Elijah will turn the hearts of parents and children to each other by turning the hearts of BOTH children and parents to the Eternal God and the passionate keeping of ALL God’s Word.
Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers [properly God the Father See Strong’s Greek] to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
REMEMBER THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AS RECORDED BY MOSES; THE SERVANT OF GOD! Malachi 4
