Regardless of the argument over whether the seven churches of Revelation are contemporary or successive, there is no doubt that we are in the very latter days and that therefore we are in the Laodicean age.
Today’s spiritual Ekklesia continues to idolize men and false traditions; strangely counting their espousal to Christ as meaning that they are to obey lovers [idols of men] who claim to come in his name, rather than to keep their commitment to obey their God and to live by every Word of God.
Today’s brethren are relying on blindly following the false traditions and corporate idols of men, instead of living by every Word of God.
Today’s Ekklesia of the New Covenant called out, is now facing the strong correction that Moses warned us of (Deu 11, 28-30) and that Christ warned us of in Revelation 3:14-22.
Laodicean’s are simply latter day Pharisees, about whom Christ had a lot to say.
To be a Pharisee is to make the law of God of no effect by following our idols of men and our own false traditions; to be zealous for our own ways and not for God’s ways; to be exalting of men and organizations instead of being totally faithful to God and his Word; to have a pretense of godliness without the power [the true Spirit] of godliness; and to serve with the lips and not with deeds; to be filled with guile, deceit and hypocrisy.
Acts 4:19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Today the spiritual light of the Ekklesia is flickering out as we depart from any zeal to live by every Word of God. The seven lamps are no longer shining brightly as a light set high on a hill like the temple is supposed to be.
I began January posting on Daniel and Revelation as an introduction to posting the fourth time through the Gospels, the Festivals, Acts and the Epistles and certain other scriptures including doctrinal subjects such as repentance and salvation.
In addition I am doubling down on the amount of material being posted with a focus on reviving today’s Spiritual Ekklesia in anticipation of the revealing of God’s two servants.
Very soon now, within a year or two, God’s two servants will be revealed and they will pour the Holy Spirit out of themselves and into the lamps of the seven churches.
How? By teaching all people and especially the Spiritual Ekklesia; to turn to, to learn, to love and to live by every Word of the Almighty Father God, and his Christ!
Zechariah 4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?4:13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Brethren, look around you at the signs of the times, it is time to awake, to arise and to revive our flagging light of godliness. The night is far spent and the dawn of a new age of righteousness is arriving: Behold the Bridegroom cometh!
It is very late to start preparing and like the five virgins we have run out of oil, we have run out of the oil of God’s Holy Spirit which is only given to those who obey God.
Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
God’s two witnesses will arrive at the darkest hour of the Spiritual Ekklesia, when our pride in our own false traditions has come to the full and we have the highest opinion of ourselves, not seeing ourselves as God sees us.
Then those who are humble before God and have prepared themselves and filled themselves with the Holy Oil of God’s Spirit through learning, loving and living by every Word of God, will go to God’s refuge for further learning.
Those who will NOT turn to learn, to love and to live by every Word of God now, will be cast into the furnace of affliction, and in their affliction very many will be turned to a wholehearted zeal for godliness.
Then when our LORD comes, a great spiritual revival will spread out across all the earth.
Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Consider the revivals in Judges, the revivals of Josiah (2 Kings 23), Hezekiah (2 Chron 30-31), Ezekiel and the first chapters of Acts. They were wondrous, but they were only small foretastes of what is coming for the whole earth!
Brethren, do visit each of the linked articles above and learn from past revivals that true spiritual revival is a true revival to learn and to live by every Word of God!
Please do study TheShiningLight Daniel and Revelation posts and the studies through the New Testament and other scriptures throughout 2019. Let us work very hard to be chosen to be resurrected as part of the collective bride of Christ in a new age of righteousness and eternal life in peace with God.
At TheShiningLight our theme for 2019 is Spiritual Revival! This is not by accident; it is an issue of immediate and vital importance!
