Laodicea: The People Will be Judged and Punished

People are so very comfortable in their ruts that they want the present conditions to continue on without change.

We humans are mostly creatures of habit and it is very true that the more an action is repeated, the more entrenched the habit becomes.  That is how we learn, as repeated actions or thoughts create pathways in our brains; and the more actions or thoughts are repeated the stronger the pathways and habits become.

The more a thought or action is repeated the stronger the habit becomes, which  is why we need to establish good godly habits and avoid evil thoughts and actions.

It is also why we need to question the claims and teachings of men and remain true to the Word of God, because false teachings and false claims repeated over and over continually over many years, become entrenched in our minds even if they are wrong.

There is much more to be said about how most COG Brethren have been brain washed into their present condition of equating the words of men with the will of God, even when those teachings are contrary to the Word of God.

After the 9-11 attack in New York, the American and Western media began pouring out propaganda about a never ending unwinnable war against Islamic Extremism.

This propaganda effort was intended to justify American wars of aggression in the Middle East and to justify the unconstitutional removal of all American rights by the Patriot Act and other Executive orders and legislation, and now all the treasured rights of Americans have slipped away.

Today an American citizen can be arrested and alleged to be a “terrorist” and held without charges indefinitely; he can have all his property confiscated simply by being accused without any trial or verdict of guilt.

Over the years the COG leaders, most of whom are American; bought into this panic propaganda, instead of standing on the Word of God.  Then they looked into the Word of God with this false preconceived notion, and attempted to interpret the Word of God according to their preconceived beliefs.

In doing this they came up with the false idea that Islamic Extremism is the King of the South; which is totally contrary to scripture, but which seemed to explain and make credible the false idea of a never ending unwinnable war against Islamic Extremism.

To justify their position – which is nothing more than war time propaganda – they had to ignore the fact that Psalm 83 says that the nations mentioned are to be allied with Ashur [Germany, Austria and Hungary; a central part of the King of the NORTH!] and proclaimed that the now Islamic countries of Psalm 83 would  be taken over by Islamic Extremism which they declared was the King of the South [Scripture says Egypt and her close allies are the King of the South].

They twisted Psalm 83 around to mean the exact opposite of what it says, to justify their false assumptions!

The Psalm 83 nations are allied with the King of the North, and Egypt is not mentioned in Psalm 83; because Egypt is and has always been the king of the SOUTH!   Daniel 11 and history tell us that Egypt and Israel are the king of the South!

By not standing on the Word of God, and twisting the Word of God to try to justify their false beliefs, they have been strongly deceived and made a grave error.

The brethren are comfortable in their rut of trusting men and not relying the Word of God and do not want to believe that they are in error on any point.  They are right in their own eyes, no matter how wrong they are in the eyes of God.

They insist on past traditions no matter how much proof from scripture is presented.  Like the rich man of the Lazarus story, they would not believe even if some great one came back from the dead to warn them.  The COG Groups are comfortable with their false traditions and the errors of the past, and are not willing to leave their comfort zone for the truth of God.

It is this fear of men [Idolatry]  taught intensively by the COG leadership, the continual repetition of false traditions and the comfort zone of a people who are zealous for what men say and have no zeal to learn and keep the Word of God, because that might take some effort from the spiritually lazy; which has led many brethren astray as Jesus and others prophesied would happen in these latter days (Mat 24, 2 Thess 2).

The other great impediment to godliness is the fear to take responsibility for one’s own conduct.  The brethren think that at the day of judgment they can just claim “I did all that your ministers said” and so avoid any personal responsibility.

Of course that is another error since each of us is responsible and will be judged for our own conduct, no matter what anyone else teaches us.

When we stand before God and he asks why we did this or that against his Word, and people say “We were just doing what your ministers said”  God will ask; “Why did you listen to them and you did not listen to ME? You are an Idolater, depart into condemnation.”

You see, not everyone who claims to be a minister of God is a minister of God!

That is why we are to question the words of all men and compare them to the whole Word of God; holding fast to only that which is true and consistent with the whole Word of God.

Today the COG Groups are fully Laodicean [which means “the people are judged, rejected by Christ, sentenced  and punished”], having no zeal for the Word of God while being full of zeal for their idols of men.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-13  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. …

Paul was writing to the brethren when he wrote that; and it is most certainly true of the COG Groups today.  We have fallen prey to a strong delusion of idolizing men and believing teachings contrary to the Word of God.  And why?  Because we do not love the truth of the Word of God enough to exalt it above the men and organizations that we idolize!

Right now a few hundred are turning to God in zeal, but the vast majority will have to go through the coming correction.

Yet there is HOPE!  For once falling into the correction of God in the tribulation, spiritual Judah will sincerely repent; and an Ezra Nehemiah revival of sincere repentance and sound doctrine will come! Many of those in the tribulation will sincerely repent and turn back to the Eternal with all the zeal and joy of that ancient revival!

The main part of this work today is; Sowing the seed: some of which will sprout now and the bulk of which will sprout during the tribulation, as the brethren remember the warnings and teachings of God.

Do not think that we shall all go into some refuge as a great happy reunited church of God!  God is in the process of dividing the brethren!  Separating those zealous to keep his Word, from those who are full of the pride and sins of Laodicea.

YES, Almighty God is dividing his people so that the faithful may be cared for and the faithless may be corrected!  and only a very small minority will turn to a true zeal for God now, because the remainder love their idols of men more than they love the Eternal and his Word.  They equate obedience to men as if it were obedience to God, which it is NOT!

Right now there is a tremendous inertia which prevents many from questioning the words of men and their past false traditions and proving them by the whole Word of God.

God has the answer for that:  God is going to wake us up out of our spiritual sleep with a great correcting, as many fall into what they fear the most; and then they will wake up to see the light!

A few are turning to a zeal for God even now, but do not expect any great company to respond to the two servants of God and go to the place that God has prepared.  They will be a very small minority as the others are far too comfortable in their spiritual sleep to make a decision that drastic.

Most are in the rut of a very deep and comfortable sleep; they think of the tribulation and kingdom of God, as some far off thing, and firmly believe that in their lifetime; Nothing’s Gonna Change Their World.
