THE FIRST SEAL
Jesus Christ by his sinless life and willingness to die for humanity to fulfill the will of God the Father was resurrected to spirit and had the glory that he had had before giving up his God-hood to become flesh, restored to him. He then ascended to God the Father to be accepts “for us” to be accepted as our atoning sacrifice and to be made a High Priest to intercede for us with God the Father and to reconcile us to the Father. Being found worthy to receive eternal life and everlasting glory Christ was also found worthy to unseal the secret things of God the Father.
Rev 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
The first seal is a white horse with its rider and in teh grand overall scheme of things it pictures Satan the Adversary who presents himself as an angel of light to deceive the nations.
Specifically however this refers to the end time and refers to the climax of Satan’s activities and of his deceptions through human agents. This seal refers to the abomination spoken of by Daniel [Dan 12] and by Paul.
2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away [a falling away from zeal for God in the brotherhood as has now happened] first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition [who is the final miracle working abomination];
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God [he will be exalted by humanity above the words of all gods] sitteth in the temple of God [he will falsely present himself as the head of the body the spiritual temple] shewing himself that he is God [by exalting himself above God as humanities ultimate moral authority].
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what [that Christ is holding Satan back until the appointed time] withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [withholds] will let [restrain this setting up until the appointed time], until he [that is, the restraints] be taken out of the way [Christ will restrain the setting up of this person until the appointed time when the restraints will be removed].
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed [and from the time that he is set up doing miracles in the Vatican he will have only 1,335 days until he is destroyed by Christ, Dan 12], whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness [deceiving men into rebellion against te eWord of God] in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
This miracle working pope will be of the earth, earthy, carnal, worldly; and will deceive most of humanity by doing amazing miracles to exalt himself as their ultimate moral authority, following his word instead of the whole Word of God.
The first beast being the Holy Roman Empire system with its several revivals and its total destruction, which will be revived by this pope; who will then have the authority of the State be hind him in the church state relationship of the Holy Roman Empire system.
This earthy, worldly, carnal, miracle working deceiver will appear to be a man of peace and as harmless as a lamb [trying to counterfeit the true Lamb of God]; but he will speak the words of Satan the dragon teaching all peoples to follow him in rebellion against the Word of God. He will teach that HIS word is above the Word of God, as is being done in the Ekklesia today.
This man will do great miracles, probably in the form of trying to imitate Christ; he will call for a new order in Europe and will be so exalted by the people that ten nations will come together to follow his advice.
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast [the church will have the backing of the state, the Holy Roman Empire church state system ] before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast [to exalt the New Europe], whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image [a likeness] to the beast [the Holy Roman Empire, church state federal Europe system], which had the wound by a sword, and did live [which church state system was destroyed by war and will be brought back to life by Satan through this final great deceiver].
The white horse is deceptive and shows the deceptive nature of this person who tries to appear as a shining white paragon of godliness while he deceives men into following his own ways in rebellion against the Word of God.
He will conquer the minds and hearts of people through his impressive miracles and smooth words.
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
The second seal reveals the terrible wars that will come upon the earth during the final 3 1/2 year period.
6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast [a second being by the throne of God] say, Come and see. 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
The third seal is about the terrible famine that will come because of wars, bad weather etc.
6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
The second seal is about wars between nations and the fourth seal is about internal conditions in the nations, as starving people riot and fight for food and survival, and vermin multiply exponentially, eating up the food stocks and carrying disease.
6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast [the fourth being before God’s throne] say, Come and see. 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Here it is revealed that the spirits of the dead in Christ are kept in heaven under the altar of God in the heavenly Temple of God the Father.
I did not write this; it is Holy Scripture. Yes the spirits of the dead in Christ are kept in heaven; where they figuratively cry out for their resurrection and God’s judgment on those who rebel against the Word of God and who persecute the zealous to learn and to keep the whole Word and Will of God.
Now the scriptures tell us that no man has as yet ascended into heaven except Christ. This is because no flesh can pass across the vast gulf between the earth and heaven. Even Jesus while in the flesh, could not cross that gulf and visit heaven.
No flesh can travel to heaven from the earth. However SPIRIT can cross the distance between the earth and heaven, therefore it was AFTER Jesus Christ was changed to spirit at his resurrection that he was able to ascend up to heaven.
No flesh can cross the vast space between heaven and earth, however God can take the spirit in human beings who have His Holy Spirit, and take them as inanimate spirit to be kept safe and totally secure under the heavenly altar, until the day they are returned to the earth to be placed in new bodies made of spirit in the sight of all people as a demonstration of the power and the glory of God.
Right now these disembodied spirits are inanimate and cannot function just as a disk which is not inserted into a machine cannot function; these human spirits must be plugged into new bodies to become animate and functional.
Right now the spirits of the dead in Christ are being stored in the most secure place in the universe, beneath the very altar of Almighty God in heaven; and it is their very presence that cries out to God [not any actual voice] to remember God’s faithful and correct the wickedness of humanity to bring mankind to sincere repentance.
6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls [pneuma; spirits] of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
The fifth seal is a warning of a great martyrdom AFTER the son of perdition is set up, AFTER the new Roman Empire and its ruler are set up, and after the initial defeat of the Judeo Anglo Saxon power.
When the Laodicean brethren see that their false traditions destroyed by reality the pride and self will of very many will be crushed; then they will remember that they were warned and will quickly turn to a passionate zeal for the Eternal, giving up their lives in a great martyrdom.
After that, during the tribulation, there will be a great persecution of all those who immediately sincerely repented from their lack of zeal for God, and did not at first respond to the warnings and are now trapped in the furnace of correction .
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which [To persecute those who have quickly repented when they saw Jerusalem and Judea fall, and turned to a zeal to keep God’s Word] keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The Fifth Seal, dead in Christ, were judged righteous by the Ultimate Judge, but we are told that there must still be another martyrdom. This speaks specifically of a great martyrdom to come AFTER the first four seals and all that they represent.
6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
The Sixth Seal is the appearance of Jesus Christ in his majestic glory for all people to see.
At the presence of Christ in his glory the earth shall tremble and shake [probably producing volcanic activity] and the atmospheric dust will make the moon appear red.
Consider that in the night we see the stars and during the day the brightness of the sun hides the stars and they seem to vanish from our sight. Even so, the brightness of Christ shining in his full glory will overwhelm the sun itself which will appear to disappear in the presence of the Glorious One!
6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 6:13 And the stars [Space objects in our solar system: many astral objects like meteors and boulders will fall from space doing much damage] of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll [the sky will disappear all else overwhelmed by the incredible brightness of the light of our Redeemer] when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
When they see this, the Laodicean faithless who are in tribulation, will have any pride that is left; totally crushed; as they see the glory of the One who’s Word they had exalted themselves over, preferring to follow idols of men!
Once they have been completely humbled by their own teachings being proved wrong by reality, and then seeing glory of Christ: Then Saul’s will become Paul’s and very many will be filled with an awesome zeal for their God which will strengthen them to endure any persecution and martyrdom!
This appearance of Christ in his glory heralds the onset of the seventh seal which is the seven trumpets.
6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
There are two sets of 144,000 in Revelation. The first set of 144,000 is specific to Israel and specific to those who are alive and sealed during the last 3 1/2 years before the millennium. This is specific to Israel and does not exclude others from also being sealed by God. This first group of 144,000 is not to be confused with a second group of 144,000 in Rev 14. They are two quite different groups.
AFTER the sixth seal, the wind [of the seven trumpets] was held back until 144,000 people were sealed by God. A seal represents ownership and the seal of God’s ownership of a person is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The timing of this sealing is AFTER the initial wars and great suffering of the tribulation, and immediately AFTER Jesus Christ is seen in his full glory by all nations.
The great suffering, the preaching of God’s two and then the appearance of Messiah the Christ to all peoples has brought these folks to sincere repentance. They are sealed for the express purpose of setting them apart so that the trumpet plagues do not fall upon them.
7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind [the blowing of the seven trumpet plagues should be delayed] should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
144,000 are sealed, 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel. Joseph has the double portion while Reuben and Levi are included; Dan is left out; making the tribes of the sealed an even 12.
The first point is that these folks are people during the actual end time tribulation, therefore the 144,000 does not include the ancients like David, Moses, Elijah, Able, Enoch, Noah, Daniel and so very many others including the first century apostles and the many many thousands of brethren through history; and of course it does not include any Gentiles.
7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
7:5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
7:6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7:7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
7:8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph [Ephraim in addition to the aforementioned Manasseh] were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
Now with the statement “AFTER THIS,” meaning later; the prophecy jumps forward to the resurrection to spirit. And there before the throne of God in heaven is not merely 144,000 but a vast multitude of all those who have been called to Christ, and have endured and overcome to be chosen to be resurrected and changed to spirit.
Here stand all of the chosen overcomers who had lived and been called over six thousand years; not just a specific 144,000 of the tribes of Israel sealed immediately before the end time trumpet plagues.
Indeed the first 144,000 sealed during the last 3 1/2 years is not mentioned again.
This tells us that God will resurrect and change a vast multitude of His faithful, both Israel and Gentile, who lived through history and not just 144,000.
Once again as in Rev 15 and Rev 19; here is another prophecy of the faithful, chosen and changed, standing IN HEAVEN with the angels and the four beings before the throne of God.
7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Now the vast multitude before God’s throne in heaven is explained as all those who have sincerely repented and been washed clean by the sacrifice of Christ; and who have faithfully endured, overcoming sin, by the power of God’s Spirit; and who have internalized the nature of God through the zealous learning and keeping of the whole Word of God.
7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Now we have a point of confusion as most have assumed that the term great tribulation here is in reference to the final 3 1/2 years before the resurrection to spirit. This would imply that only those who are living in the very end time would be in the resurrection of the chosen first fruits. This idea forgets God’s promises to many of the ancients that they will be in this first resurrection to spirit as well.
In reference to the great multitude this does not refer to the final 3 1/2 year great tribulation. This term as used here, refers to the tribulations and trials of the called out in enduring and overcoming to be judged faithful: See Hebrews 11.
On the other hand this group of 144,000 did go through the end time great tribulation!
7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation [endured much suffering for godliness as per Hebrews 11], and have washed their robes, and made them white [pure from sin] in the blood of the Lamb.
7:15 Therefore are they [are resurrected to spirit and stand before God in heaven at the marriage of the Lamb See: The Marriage of The Lamb, at The Resurrection of The Chosen] before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple [government]: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them [referring to the Eghth Day when God the Father will come down to the earth].
7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more [now being spirit]; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat [being spirit they shall not need heat of light from physical sources] . 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them [spiritual food and living waters of the Holy Spirit], and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
The Second Group of 144,000; Rev 14:1
We see Christ coming to Jerusalem with the 144,000.
It is an assumption to think that this 144,000 is identical with the 144,000 of Rev 7.
The 144,000 of Rev 7 are living and sealed during the last 3 1/2 years before the coming of Christ; while we know that David will be king over all Israel and that the 12 first century apostles will each rule a tribe in Israel.
It is also an assumption to think that the 144,000 coming to Mt Zion are the only resurrected chosen to come to the earth. What do I mean?
Jesus Christ is coming to rule ALL nations, and under Christ David will rule all Israel; and under David the 12 apostles who were with Jesus in the flesh will each rule a tribe in Israel.
This 144,000 who stand on Mt Zion have come to Jerusalem to rule the tribes of Israel!
What about all the other nations and people of the earth?
Their now spirit kings and priests, would logically go directly to their nations and people; as the 144,000 rulers of Israel are to go directly to Jerusalem. Just because 144,000 go directly to Mt Zion, does not mean that vast numbers of other kings and priests are not going to their own assigned nations and cities across the world!
Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
This 144,000 on Mt Zion are those who are given authority from God the Father to rule the twelve tribes of ISRAEL. This 144,000 on Mt Zion is about the government of Israel exclusively; and has nothing to do with ruling the other nations of the earth!
Again these folks are said to be before the throne of God in heaven!
14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women [false doctrines (false teachings) or by following any other than their espoused Husband; that they might be presented to him as faithful spiritual virgins]; for they are [spiritual following only their espoused Husband and NO other] virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile [deceitfulness or deceptiveness]: for they are without fault [without any sin through their faithfulness and the sacrifice of the Lamb of God] before the throne of God.
